UI principles to be applied to your design

When planning the development for the app based on the event, a range of features and additions must be included to provide a good user experience for everyone on all platforms. Buttons and interactive additions, such as “Buy Tickets” buttons or “Add to Cart,” will be large and positioned where users can easily notice and navigate them, providing support for those who may have sight difficulties. For example, the “Buy Tickets” button will be placed at the bottom of the screen for easy access, so users don’t struggle to click on it. Additionally, ticket information like types, prices, and dates will be grouped together on the same screen. Therefore helping the users quickly compare options and make decisions without needing to scroll too much. As issues such as scrolling constantly for different sections can be frustrating and potentially cause the user to stop their search on the app, providing a poor UI experience.

To inform the user on their actions when using the app, selecting a button or menu, will change colour to indicate to the user that it has been selected. Additionally to this, a pop-up will then confirm the action selected such as if a ticket choice has been chosen the pop up will display a “Ticket Added” message. Although, if there’s an issue such as payment type issue, an error message will appear with an explanation, such as “Payment Error, Please try again.”

To provide consistency throughout different devices, the app will have the same design on both web and mobile devices, which will help to ensure easy navigation on any device. Easy navigation will allow users to complete their purchase quickly, dealing with time saving and leading towards a quick and efficient experience for the users. Before confirming the purchase, users can review their ticket selection, reducing the chances of a possible mistake. The app will also include features like adjustable text sizes and pleasing colours for better visibility, which helps with providing a good UI experience for every customer.

For regular users, the app will have a simple interface, which makes it easy to browse tickets, select options, and complete their purchases quickly. Users will be able to view event details and choose their tickets efficiently. However for the event organisers, the interface will be more advanced. It will allow them to manage ticket sales, tracking and view sales data. Organisers will also have tools to adjust ticket prices, create special offers, and update event details if required.
