When designing my first poster to be in my magazine, I got the idea for the design when looking at a picture that I had previously taken to be used within the design. The picture taken shows one of my friends playing football, he had agreed for my to take the picture and therefore use it as one of my information posters.
The reasoning for the quotes is due to my friend in the picture starting to enjoy and play football at a much later point compared to everyone else. There’s a common misconception in that to like football you need to get into it at an early age, however this has never been the case. Adding this quote is a reminder to children that they are never too old to want to experience something new.

When designing my second information piece for my magazine spread, I focused on including a design which displays a football player with information regarding the player, such as the name, position in which they play and the number of goals and assists the player has reached throughout the season.
I decided to chose this type of style and layout as this is a popular graphic design piece which is always found within football magazines targeted at children. Although this is a simple piece, I believe all areas of the design contrast with each other and is a great piece for sharing information regarding a player. This type of design is also common when designing large posters.

My third information poster for my magazine is a set of two designs which display two team mates celebrating with each other. Both of these designs fit in well with my criteria, being to make designs which can be noted as comic book like designs, designs which appeal to children, as that is my main goal when creating my designs.
The reason I aimed to created a design which displays team mates celebrating instead of one individual, is to demonstrate to younger children that football and most sports are a team game, and not always something for individuals to enjoy.

My last information page is something which is a common factor in all sporting magazines, most if not all, magazines of a range of sports usually include an information segment surrounding a certain player, such as their name position and stats for the season. This is an idea which I had wanted to include as an information guide. With the text alongside stating, the name, the position, shirt number, goals and assists with the number of both yellow and red cards the player has picked up.
The design displays a player of to the side, a shot which only includes a small part of the player, yet the readers can see everything which they need. This design originally came from my sketch book such as the player, the layout and the text that I wanted to be surrounding the player. The phrase “Future star” is extremely common when discussing footballers, this is a term often given to younger players who have the potential to be one of the best around. I believe this is something which younger children may enjoy to read and see, as this helps them understand and learn about players who they may see in the future.
Each of these four designs are created by myself and have originated from pictures I have taken or from sketches I have drawn.
