Adobe Photoshop Self Portrait

Design 1

First promotional, simple portrait poster including a appropriate quote.

My first attempt at a photoshop portrait includes quote which is covering half of my face, although my face can still be seen through the text, in my opinion, this design is a basic yet visually pleasing poster, promoting a clear understanding of my chosen characteristics. My reasoning for the selected quote is due to my ambitions, which had led me to reach university, throughout both school and my college life I had to work to the best of my abilities and full potential therefore allowing me to gain the best possible grades, helping me to finalise my university status, with the quote embodying that.

The colour choice around the portrait has a simple explanation and this is due to the shirt that I am wearing in the photo, these colours matched up nicely together, adding to the simplicity factor of the design. I had tried a variety of colour schemes ranging from dark green, light blues and yellows. However, these patterns did not work as well compared to my final decision of the dark blue and white.

Second portrait. Implementing one of my own picture into my silhouette.

For my second personal photoshop portrait, I wanted to implement a photograph which displays my personality and hobbies, I tried multiple photos to try with my design, ranging from photos of me, my dog and scenic photos that I had taken when out with family and friends. However the photograph that I finalised on was a picture I had taken when attending a football match at the the team I support stadium. I wanted to create a simple design, an opposite approach compared to my previous one, a design which still provides a look into me as a person.

The design worked how I intended to with the photograph fitting in perfectly with my silhouette, whilst my facial features still being recognisable, I moulded the photo and changed around the positioning making sure that the clouds fit in with my hair, and I believe I have achieved this.
